who we are
We are a Non-Profit group of volunteers who have supported this event for MANY years. While we represent many different churches and denominations from the San Marcos area, we all share a passion for our mission - to tell the story of Christ in a real and meaningful way.
Our Mission
The mission of A Night in Old Bethlehem invites the community to discover the birth of Christ as they explore the town of Bethlehem.
A Night in Old Bethlehem is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings the community together to support and organize a live Nativity in the town of Bethlehem as part of the annual Sights and Sounds of Christmas celebration in San Marcos, Texas. What to expect
Follow the star into the town of Bethlehem and discover the Christ child lying in a manger. The live nativity is the centerpiece of A Night in Old Betlehem, complete with the Holy Family, angels, shepherds, wise men, and animals. The Christmas story is also told with musical performances by children in song, dance, concerts and more. Children learn about life in the old city with visits to a free crafts area to make a candle, a toy and a pinch pot. Get your picture taken with an angel or Roman soldier and enjoy a turkey leg and curly fries in the food booth.
